The practice of good 'ol phone calls to communicate is still a thing despite the internet. This app basically automates the process of switching between your earpiece and speakerphone during calls. Utilizing your device's proximity sensor, it determines whether you're holding your phone close to your ear or not, and adjusts from there. Once you enable the background service, it will work right away. You can calibrate your sensors to improve accuracy and choose which default speaker to use.
Jump into its advanced settings, and you can adjust options like setting max volume levels, enabling button controls for faster access, and adding delay to speaker switching. One thing to note is that the app currently does not work with Android 12 and 13. The main reason for this is that it has not received any updates in a long time.
Needs updates
All in all, Auto Speaker is one of those apps that you don't really appreciate until you've actually used it. It's a simple but effective tool, and the convenience it brings cannot be denied. If you make frequent phone calls on a daily basis, you owe it to yourself to give this one a shot. Just note the compatibility issue mentioned above. Hopefully, it gets updated soon.
